"A farmer is the backbone of the community." -Thai proverb
A Way To Live is an exploration into my new found career in farming, food activism, and journalism.
I have witnessed animals, plants, dirt and humans working together to create a sustainable, bio-diverse ecosystem. I have also seen industrially processed food make a mess of America’s food culture and health.
The journey continues from Thailand where my new challenge is to create a sustainable organic farm in a small, dirty town where organic doesn't really exist. However this project will only be the means. The end in sight is actually to use this method of farming to help war torn communities to regain their health and cultural traditions.
On this blog, I will document the process of developing my farm. You will find pertinent information and news about agriculture as it applies to my work here in Thailand as well as back home in US. Plus sharing any other beautiful odds and ends that invoke my passion for food, farming, community and staying healthy.
